Special & Progress Inspections for Construction
Helping our clients deliver or occupy their spaces in a compliant, safe, and efficient way, we offer special inspections required for any construction project. We work closely with Owners, Project Managers and Contractors to streamline the inspections process while ensuring Clients and Project Team Members are up to date on progress through project sign off.
Code Compliance Inspections
To ensure your building is meeting code requirements for documentation of testing, we offer inspections and associated reporting to ensure compliance for testing of specialty equipment and systems like EM Generators, Smoke Controls and Smoke Curtain Systems. Don’t wait to receive a violation to comply!
OT (Architectural) and Progress Inspections
We inspect rated partitions for proper construction as well as review existing and new construction for proper fire-stopping, fire-proofing, emergency lighting (Public Assembly spaces), and egress path marking. Upon completion of the work, UBSL performs a final construction inspection per Directive 14.

Energy Code Inspections Including
Most projects require an analysis of energy usage to file for permits. We verify that the lighting (fixture type and quantity), insulation, duct sealing and testing, electric motors, and water heating equipment are properly installed and meet the project specifications.
